Katie Coates, Ph.D., McKinsey & Company

Katie Coates, Ph.D., McKinsey & Company

Katie has over 30 years of experience in learning and development, primarily in financial and professional services. She is currently Director of Learning with McKinsey & Company and is responsible for the learning strategy for over 18,000 professionals. 

Prior to joining McKinsey, Katie worked for Deloitte for 20 years where she held several leadership positions, including Deloitte Audit Deputy Chief Learning Officer; Learning and Development Operations Leader based in Hyderabad, India; Learning Design Center of Excellence Leader; and Deloitte Consulting Strategy & Operations Learning Leader. She was also the Director of Learning Design at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong. 

Katie holds a master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design from Penn State University, and a master’s degree and PhD in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University. Her dissertation research focused on the adoption of performance support solutions in organizations. She lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband Marshall and daughter Lilly. Angie Hubert, Meta

Angie Hubert is a passionate learning and development leader with diverse experience developing programs and teams. Angie's 25 years of experience in learning and instructional design, organizational development, and HR technology allow her to bring a unique approach to organizational talent development. Angie currently leads Learning Strategy & Innovation for Meta's Global Operations, a team focused on enabling workflow learning at scale and eventually leveraging AI. Connect with Angie!

 
Patrick Sunlap, tt-s

Patrick Dunlap, tt-s

Patrick has been involved with workflow learning from the early days of electronic performance support systems. He started his journey at RWD Technologies where he held a number of positions including head of a custom development software practice focused on building intuitive graphical interfaces that interfaced with older IBM mainframe applications. Patrick has also held sales, international operations, and partner management roles with RWD. Following the spin-off of RWD’s software business into ANCILE Solutions, Patrick was responsible for global sales, professional services, and partnerships with organizations such as SAP. Patrick joined the German software company tts in 2016 and is responsible for Sales & Operations in the Americas and portions of Western Europe. He has worked with some of the world’s largest companies to help solve their workflow learning challenges and is excited to be part of the workflow learning and performance community. Mark Wagner, The Hartford

Mark Wagner, The Hartford

Mark is VP of Learning, Quality and Leadership at The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he has been a passionate talent development strategist since 2012. Prior to that, he held a similar position at Progressive Insurance for over 12 years. In his tenure at The Hartford, the learning organization has received two patents related to performance and talent development, one of which is for a knowledge management support platform.

In addition, Mark leads The Hartford's workforce transformation initiative, which prepares leaders to develop a diverse workforce with empathy and inclusion. His team introduced the concept of "learning labs" to bring intense practice on real work into the training environment. In 2016, they started a registered apprenticeship program that serves as the first U.S.-based registered insurance apprenticeship program, and Mark has served as a member of Lumina's Business Champions collaborative and Apprenticeship Ambassadors group. He continues to serve on President Biden's Advisory Council on Apprenticeships representing employers, whose goal is to improve the diversity and equity of the United States workforce. Sivaram (Siv) Jambunathan, General Mills

Sivaram (Siv) Jambunathan, General Mills

Siv has been in HR/OD/L&D fields for over 25 years. As an Engineering grad, he shifted into the fascinating world of HR and found his calling in the specific field of Talent Development. Siv has been with General Mills for about 7 years.

Siv's primary responsibilities at General Mills are focused on learning strategy to support organizational transformations, upskilling, and talent development for core supply chain capabilities and in partnering with leaders on transformational change.

Siv believes in causing "good trouble" and constantly pushes boundaries in implementing L&D tech, performance consulting, impact-based results, and learning in the flow of work, as well as outsourcing L&D services.

Prior to General Mills, Siv spent 16+ years at Cargill, IBM, Honeywell, and Monsanto performing various roles in Human Resources, Talent Development, Change Consulting, Competency Development, and Leadership and Executive Development.

Siv has lived in Singapore and India and has travelled extensively to 20+ countries delivering leadership programs. He has now settled down in Virginia with his wife and son, enjoying weekend hikes in Shenandoah Valley. Connect with Siv!

Martin is co-founder and board member of Know How! AG, which has been supporting more effective and efficient working and learning in companies – through qualification, consulting, and learning technologies – for over 30 years. Know How! AG has been part of the Carl Remigius Fresenius Education Group since May 2023.

With his deep understanding of the learning landscape, Martin leads Know How! AG and its customers to new solutions, ensuring that technology is used effectively to empower employees and organizations. He is a leader in learning technology with a strong focus on the intersection of technology and learning. As Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for the company's product strategies. By analyzing current technological developments, he looks for ways that technology can make corporate learning more effective and efficient. Scott Schmoldt, United Healthcare

Scott Schmoldt, United Healthcare

Scott Schmoldt is an Associate Director of Learning at UnitedHealthcare, one of the nation’s largest health insurance providers which is dedicated to improving the value health care consumers receive by reducing the total cost of care, enhancing the quality of care received, improving health and wellness, and simplifying the health care experience. Scott began his journey in the Learning and Development space 17 years ago when he took a role as a technical trainer for Wausau Benefits, a small third-party administrator. He then spent several years in Instructional Design before moving into a leadership role in L&D. Scott is passionate about changing the paradigm that has surrounded traditional learning approaches and believes that learning in the flow of work at the moment of application is how we do it.
